Leah Shutkever has become a viral sensation after filming herself eating 12 donuts in 72 seconds (1 minute 12 seconds).

Hailing from Birmingham United Kingdom Leah, a commercial designer is a competitive eater who has represented the United Kingdom in competitive eating competitions around the world, appearing on the Japanese Television show “Battle of the Big Eaters”. Leah regularly uploads her challenges online and has travelled the UK taking part in “Man vs Food” competitions.

An example is Leah eating a four foot long Subway sandwich in 5 minutes and 30 seconds, smashing the previous record of 7 minutes. Another challenge has Leah ordering £20 worth of food Burger King Saver’s menu and demolishing the 19 items in just 3 minutes and 18 seconds. A strict fitness regime helps maintain her figure, deadlifting 100kg’s and bench lifting 60kg’s coupled with a controlled diet.

“I’m a bit of a multifaceted person, I’m not really run-of-the-mill or normal at all. With competitive eating I didn’t really pursue it, it found me about four years ago and ever since then it has been one of my passions. Since I started I have taken on 30-50 challenges and I’ve completed them all, I’ve never lost one – although I have come second best against other people. “My family are a little bit proud of what I like to call my God-given talent, but I don’t think they know what to make of it. They know it’s not good for me, but I’m so into my fitness they know I won’t let it get in the way.”

At the moment, it’s just a hobby for Leah, but she is hoping to take it further, saying ‘At the moment it is just a hobby, but I’d like to see where it could take me and what challenges are next. Guys I know and people I have dated in the past find it really fascinating, ‘There’s this preconception that when girls go out they only eat salad or don’t want to be seen to be eating. I’m like “Give me a steak and make it medium rare”.
