Hoda Kotb Makes An Announcement… And Now The Whole World’s Going Crazy!

Everyone’s hearts are currently melting with happiness with the announcement made by Hoda Kotb, the co-anchor of the Today Show.

She recently, proudly, announced that she had adopted a little baby. The announcement was made during the show on Tuesday. She was teased by Matt Lauer, after the announcement. He remarked about how Hoda Kotb had recently been taking quite a bit of time away from the show. Hoda was then introduced in a telephone interview where she mysteriously informed everyone watching the show all about the great news.

The fifty-three-year-old, Hoda Kotb, proceeded to playfully torment her co-anchors with the secret before showing them a beautiful photo of her holding her newborn little girl; “I do have something to tell you, but you know what, how about this, instead of telling you, I’m going to show you something…”

An evidently very emotional Hoda continued by explaining the photo, whilst simultaneously introducing her daughter; “That little girl, Haley Joy — I’m crying — is my daughter. I adopted her, and you can hear her, that’s her crying. She’s a Valentine’s baby. She’s a little nugget. She is the love of my life.” A good, longtime friend and co-anchor of Hodas, Kathie Lee Gifford, exclaimed, “Do you know how hard it has been to keep this secret? I’ve got the biggest mouth!”

Very naturally Gifford felt the need to publicly congratulate Kotb, her close friend, so she went straight to Twitter to share her love about the news. She tweeted excitedly congratulating her friend; “So thrilled for @hodakotb and her precious daughter, Haley Joy!! She will be the best mommy ever! We love you, Hoda, enjoy every moment!” Haley Joy is Hoda’s first child, perhaps the first of many to come.

At the moment she is dating Joel Schiffman, a financier. However, Hoda failed to mention whether he was involved in anyway with the adoption, during the announcement.
