Rumors Are That Season 2 Of ‘Stranger Things’ Will Turn Out To Be ‘A Lot Darker’

Netflix for the past few years has been serving up a string of critically acclaimed shows. Some can fly a little under the radar but there are others that are all we talk about.

Stranger Things was released last year and was critically acclaimed with a 96% on rotten tomatoes and an average of 8.1/10 based on 61 reviews. The critical consensus for the show was; “Exciting, heartbreaking, and sometimes scary, Stranger Things acts as an addictive homage to Spielberg and vintage 1980s television.”

The science-fiction inspired series follows a mother who desperately tries to find her son who mysteriously goes missing one evening. She forces the town to launch an investigation into his disappearance. While she looks for him strange things begin to show themselves. A slew of weird mysteries as well as secret government experiments become known to the mother.

Has you may have guessed conspiracy theories ran rampant with people wondering if the shows based on real life events of not. Many believe the government was experimenting on children during the 60s all the way through to the 80s. There are stories that are similar to the events with the first season of the show.

When Eleven come in contact with the Demogorgon the viewer is transported into a hostile parallel universe. The story that is similar however relates to time travel. We know that if season one was good season two is going to be just as or even more enthralling and brilliant.

During this year’s Superbowl they released a teaser trailer for the second season and just thirty seconds left million up millions of fans wanting more. A lot of the cast have been saying the new season will be a lot darker than before and is more horror orientated.

Actor Finn Wolfhard even went onto say; “I think people are going to like it more than the first season.” Shawn Levy who is one of the producers agreed adding in; “I think overall the kind of forces of evil that are inherent in season two make that Demogorgon look quaint in retrospect.”

We’re all eagerly anticipating the second season; we just wish we didn’t have to wait so long! Season 2 premiers on Netflix October 31st this year!
