Simon Pegg And Nick Frost Are Producing A New Horror-Comedy!

Stars of British comedies Simon Pegg and Nick Frost who worked together on many films such as Shaun of the Dead, Paul and Hot Fuzz have taken a leap of faith and have formed Stolen Picture.

Stolen Picture is a TV Production banner which the due open its doors with Slaughterhouse Rulez, a comedy-horror film. Frost and Pegg are set to exec produce the film which will be directed by Crispian Mills who co-wrote the screenplay with Henry Fitzherbert. “Slaughterhouse Rulez takes place at an elite boarding school, dubbed Slaughterhouse, where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness, and they’re about to meet their match.

The movie follows protagonist Don Wallace, whose modest background does little to prepare him for navigating a baffling new world of arcane rules and rituals, presided by sadistic sixth formers. Everyone at the school is obsessed with their status, and no one is permitted to converse with the school goddess, Clemsie. But when a fracking site on school grounds accidentally unleashes unspeakable horrors, a new hierarchy is formed in which pupils, teachers, and the school matron become locked in a bloody battle for survival.”

Sony Pictures is backing the project with Catalyst Global Media’s Charlotte Walls producing. The films are based in the UK. Stolen Pictures’ goal is to produce a variety of work that can be enjoyed globally. They aim to produce entertainment that’s along the lines of Pegg and Frost’s unique brand. The pair first worked together many years ago on Spaced which was Brit sitcom that was really popular when it aired. Since then they collaborated on 2004’s Shaun of the Dead, 2007’s Hot Fuzz and 2013’s The World’s End.

These three films together make up the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. In 2011 the pair co-wrote and starred in Paul. The film starred Seth Rogan as a smart mouth alien. The film grossed $254 million. The pair also went and sold all their shares in Big Talk Productions. The company which was purchased in IVC in 2013 but he will continue to work with the banner. Judging from previous projects together these two are well equipped to bring only the finest entertainment.
